On June 22, 2003, the largest hailstone ever recovered fell on the small town of Aurora, Nebraska and made headlines around the world.  In today’s episode of Weather Break, Creighton University student Jaclyn Gomez talks about this hailstone and how hail forms.

As you can see from the storm reports from June 22, 2003, severe weather was quite widespread on the day of the hailstorm.
